Since the creation of S&S Food Broker in 1997, we have contended to be the dominant broker in the industry of all C-Store, Travel Class and Higher Education markets. Through our dedicated initiative to exceed manufacturer and customer expectations, we have held ourselves to the highest of standards in conducting business in an honest, ethical, and moral manner. Our tenacity to grow and thrive in a constantly changing market requires us to continually reinvest into our personnel and technology. We aim to provide the best wholesale in our markets by penetrating accounts on all levels and partnering with our manufacturers to understand both their short and long-term goals. We are able to provide such outstanding partnerships because we hire the best and most effective personnel to drive our relationships. Our strong leadership emboldens our passion to build these lasting relationships and drive our success in sales and the merchandising of our products, furthering both parties to our ultimate goals.

1997

  • S&S Food Broker Began
  • February – began covering C-Store in Upstate NY

1998

  • Hired our first Office Administrator
  • Hired our Sales Manager for Western NY

2000

  • Hired our first Sales Merchandiser

2001

  • Expanded to NYC and NJ
  • Began covering Travel Retail (Hudson News)

2002

  • Hired our Sales Manager for Eastern NY

2003

  • Started covering New England
  • Hired a Sales Manager for New England

2004

  • Relcated our Headquarters to Ballston Spa, NY
  • Hired our Chief Financial Officer
  • Hired our second Office Administrator

  • Hired our Sales Manager for NJ, Eastern PA, and NYC

S&S Food Broker is a family owned and run food brokerage focusing on bringing innovative and satisfying snacks and beverages to the convenience, travel, and higher education channels.

In 1997 representing a handful of manufactures and with over 19 years of experience in the food brokerage industry, Doug Sears founded S&S Food Broker focusing on the Upstate NY market. In 2001 we expanded into the New Jersey and metro New York City markets. With the addition of experienced sales team members, including son Michael Sears, and additional office support staff, business continued to grow and expand. Just a short two years later, in 2003, now representing more than 20 manufacturers, S&S expanded further to include the New England market. From 2006 to 2011 with experience and a great reputation for friendliness, knowledge, hard work, and innovative new product lines, S&S continued to expand into Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia markets. In 2017 S&S doubled its sales team continuing to provide excellent service and representation. Now in 2019 S&S represents more than 40 creative and innovative manufacturers.

In the 22 years since S&S began, we have had the honor of being awarded over 20 manufacturer and customer awards for excellence. More importantly, we have had the privilege to partner with some of the best manufacturers and customers in the industry, granting us the opportunity to grow our product lines.

Today our success is evident by our privilege to continue to connect and partner with more than a hundred customers on a regular basis, providing exceptional service and products to our customers thousands of retail stores around the country.
